Day 1: Arrive in Chitwan; Transfer to Resort; River Sunset View
Drive to Chitwan. Upon arrival, transfer to your resort in Sauraha. After check-in formalities and lunch, begin outdoor safari activities.Outside Chitwan National Park, spend the evening enjoy gentle walks along Rapti River with birds flocking for the night’s rest. Return to the resort in the evening and enjoy dinner.
Day 2: Outdoor Safari; Tharu Cultural Program
Your second day will be busy and full of activities in this National Park. Early in the morning you will go on an elephant safari inside the forest. Bring along your binocular and camera so that you don’t miss the wildlife. However, in recent years due to over-activity of humans, animals seem to have chosen to stay deeper inside the jungle. After an hour or so you will return to the lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon you will being your jeep safari (should be pre-booked) to get deeper inside the jungle. During the safari you have an increased chance of spotting more wildlife including rhinoceros, sloth bear, deer, and leopard. Although the population of tigers have increased in Nepal, it might be difficult to spot one as they prefer to stay away in isolation. After the safari is over, you will continue the adventure by canoeing along Rapti River. The river becomes livelier in the evening with changing colors and hues of the sky. Later, by a campfire, you will enjoy a song-and-dance show followed by a Nepalese buffet dinner before returning the resort for the night.
Day 3: Forest Walk; Drive to Kathmandu
Wake up early in the morning for a refreshing nature walk and bird-watching. Return to the resort for breakfast. Departure transfer for your onward journey to Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini or elsewhere.
